Hand Felted Blackbird on a Bobbin

Sweet little blackbird, perched on a pink bobbin with a little piece of thread hanging from its beak.

Created by a UK award-winning designer. 

Their felt is made from pure, natural lamb’s wool sourced from Tibet or New Zealand.  The pigments for dyeing are sourced from Switzerland, specially selected as they are safe, natural and eco-friendly. Any other bits and bobs required for a particular design are sourced locally in markets – often employing specialist artisans like carpenters or leather workers to create a unique button, ornamental feature or slipper sole.

Every one of their pieces is unique. And before they leave the workshop, they get a hand-sewn label, adorned with ribbons and packaged in organic cotton, pull string bags – also handcrafted using local cotton in Nepal. Theirs is a truly international business embracing England, Switzerland, Nepal, New Zealand and India, with families and friends working together every step of the way.
